I'm a middle aged chap from Camberley in Surrey, UK who started his journey into the world of Amateur Radio in February 2021. I was a radio user as a kid in the first half of the 90's, but that story is typical to most aspiring CB teens of the time: I was heavily into it until girls came along and then it fell by the wayside. These days, the conversion of my campervan sparked my interest again when I thought about putting a CB in it. When I found out that SSB was a thing now, I progressed onto better radios until a Zello group opened my eyes to the world of HAM.

Later in 2021, upon it's creation, I joined the G8AMC club where my interest in all things amateur grew further. I'm still not a particularly active user of the spectrum as other things have taken priority of late, but I'm slowly ramping up my involvlement in the hobby.
